Last Updated: 2/23/2026

Shankh Labs ("we", "our", or "us") is a technology provider committed to protecting the privacy and security of data processed through our systems. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and process data, specifically in our role as a Data Processor for our business clients.

1. Our Role as a Data Processor

Shankh Labs primarily acts as a Data Processor under the instructions of our B2B clients (the "Data Fiduciaries"). We build and maintain custom software systems that process data on behalf of these clients. We do not own or control the end-user data processed by these systems independently.

2. Information We Collect & Process

In the course of providing our services, we may process the following types of data:

  • Business Contact Information: Name, professional email address, and phone number of our client's representatives.
  • System Usage Data: Logs and metrics related to the performance and usage of our software systems.
  • End-User Data (On Behalf of Clients): Name, phone number, and transaction details of our client's customers, processed strictly for the purpose of delivering the service (e.g., sending automated business notifications).
  • Messaging Logs: Metadata and content of messages sent/received via our systems (e.g., business messaging APIs) for debugging and audit purposes.

3. How We Use Data

We process data solely for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our custom software services.
  • To facilitate communication between our clients and their customers via approved business messaging channels.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or security breaches.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers (sub-processors) solely to support our service delivery, such as:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Providers: (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS) for hosting and storage.
  • Messaging Platforms: (e.g., Meta / approved messaging platforms) for message delivery.

All sub-processors are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

5. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the strict purpose of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Upon termination of a client contract, data is either returned or deleted in accordance with the agreement.

6. Your Rights

As a Data Processor, if you are an end-user of one of our clients, please direct any data subject requests (access, correction, deletion) directly to the business (Data Fiduciary) you interacted with. We will assist our clients in fulfilling these requests as required by law.
